DESCRIPTION: Joseph Barker, Frontman of
the Minneapolis Trio Hurricane Hearts, comes out on his own
to give folk music a fresh face and a new sound.
BIO: Joseph Barker is a folksinger and founder
of the Minneapolis band Hurricane Hearts. Trained as a classical
pianist and beginning his foray into songwriting by emulating
the synthetic drum and bass patterns of Nine Inch Nails, he
soon found creative refuge in the simplicity of folk and blues.
He has written songs for three Independent films, two theatre
productions and is currently recording compositions for the
new musical 'Terror Texts' which was mounted by Northwestern
College in February of 2008. His band, Hurricane Hearts, has
recorded one EP and is in the process of developing new material
as Joseph finishes his philosophy degree at Hope College.

Guitarist, Composer, Educator, Arranger,
Producer, Recording Artist.
Peter K is more than just a guitarist. He
is the consummate musician. In a career that expands three
decades, he has proven himself in a wide range of musical
styles and contexts. A native of Chicago, IL., he grew up
in the perfect enviroment for a young person interested in
music. At age 13, his family moved to Topeka, Kansas, and
it was there that he crafted his art.
Peter started taking lessons from Garth
Cookingham, a Classical guitarist, who studied under the great
Sergovia of Spain. From there he attended Washburn University,
to become a Music Educator. Peter studied jazz at Kansas University,
under the guidance of Jim Stringer.
His performing credits include: Roy Burns,
Dave Hope of Kansas-(the 70's rock band), Gregg & Matt
Bissonette along with countless others. Currently Peter is
working on producing his new CD "Alana", which should
be out in stores in the fall of 2008.

DESCRIPTION: Mellow folky music. Cory plays
solo, with a guitar and vocals, and can also play harmonica.
He also play with a band called "The New Music Machine".
BIO: He has played at bars and coffee shops
around the Twin cities for the past year, and also at venues
like the Fine Line Music Cafe and The Whole at the University
of Minnesota.

Jane

BIO: Jane first started
performing when she was 12 years old. She was one of the original
Mighty Ducks. She was Tammy Duncan, the figure skater on the
team. Jane was classically trained for vocals where she received
a Bachelors in Communication with a minor in Music.
Jane then auditioned
for Sound of America where they picked the top singer from
each state to sing with an elite group that toured Europe
with their All American Choir. She has sung with a nationally
acclaimed vocal jazz ensemble. One of her songs "Restless"
was chosen out of a 600+ international song competition to
be on a CD called, "Indie Music for Life" to benefit
research for cancer. She performs around town locally and
has played at such venues as Healthy Life Expo, Fine Line,
and 318 club just to name a few.
