Expo Guys Work to Help End Hunger
The Expo Guys: ‘No
one should go hungry’
Minneapolis, MN - Thousands of Twin
Cities families, children and seniors go hungry each day because
they cannot afford to buy food. These sad consequences of hunger
are appalling. Hunger leads to poor health, strains the healthcare
system and creates unnecessary burdens on communities.
These grim facts are why the Expo Guys,
proprietors of MediaMax Events and Expos, Inc., have partnered
with the United Way to help curb hunger in the metro area. They
are allowing FREE entry with items for the food shelf.
“Nobody in America should go hungry,”
says expo guy, “MagicBrad”. “The food we collect
goes to the closest food shelf, so your donations stay right within
the community. We are proud to help out in a meaningful way.”
The Expo Guys and MediaMAX have four major
events taking place this fall. Starting on Oct. 17-18 these is
the Home Improvement and Design Expo at the Minneapolis Convention
Center. Then on Oct. 24-25 it’s the Home Improvement and
Design Expo at the National Sports Center in Blaine. On Oct 31-Nov
1 is the Home Improvement and Design Expo at Canterbury Park in
Shakopee and on Nov 7th is the Healthy LIFE EXPO at the Midtown
Global Market.
All food items will be distributed to the
local agencies in the specific community area. 1000s of people
are expected to attend the two-day Home Improvement and Design
Expo.
“If everyone donates a non-perishable
food product, that’s a very substantial contribution toward
curbing hunger,” adds “MagicBrad”. “With
winter approaching, contributions like these become all-the-more
critical. Families shouldn’t have to choose between eating
and paying for heat.”
